Content blocks and external links
A content block holds what does not belong inside a 3D space: an article, a video, or a long-form piece hosted elsewhere.
Three forms
| Form | Status | Behaviour |
|---|---|---|
| In-site article | Planned | Written and read inside the platform; creation is not open yet |
| External article link | Available | Shows a title and cover; opens the original on click |
| External video link | Available | Sites that allow embedding play directly in the details view |
Embedded playback
Embedded playback is currently enabled for Bilibili and YouTube links only. Video links from other sites fall back to a normal external link that opens in a new tab, avoiding third-party embedding restrictions.
Links are parsed when saved, and the site and video identifier are recorded. If a link expires or a site goes offline, the block keeps its title and cover and shows an unavailable notice in the body.
Working with access control
Content blocks also support public, gated, and private states. When gated, the title and cover remain visible while the body and link require an unlock. The price is denominated in this world’s points and must be an integer from 0 to 10000.
Unlock points split 70% to the author, 20% to the world pool, and 10% burned. An unlock is permanent for the reader, and a later attempt to make the block private is rejected to protect readers who already paid.
