World events
Events are a short-term incentive: they raise the points earned through selected rules for a limited time, while the budget still comes out of the world pool.
Configuration
| Field | Range | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Multiplier | 100–500 | 200 doubles the award, i.e. an extra +100% |
| Budget | Integer | Maximum extra points the event may spend |
| Start and end | Date and time | Expires automatically at the end |
| Applies to | Check-in / creation / exploration | Multiple choices; unselected rules are unaffected |
Settlement order
An award pays base points × multiplier, then takes the minimum of the remaining event budget, today’s release limit, and the pool balance. If any layer is short, the excess is simply not paid and no debt is created.
Event points are recorded under a separate rule source and do not consume the daily cap of ordinary rules, so an event can stack on top of daily tasks without crowding them out.
Pause and end
- Budget exhausted: the event stops automatically; paid amounts are not reclaimed
- Expired: the event ends immediately and unused budget is released
- Manually paused: new bonus awards stop without affecting other rules
The budget covers extra spending only, not base points. A budget that is too small ends the event early during peak activity, so estimate it from expected participation.
