Region policies and claim approvals
A region decides how open a piece of land is. Delegating rules to regions allows different areas to carry different entry requirements and review rhythms.
Drawing regions
Draw an orthogonal polygon in the editor, aligned to grid intersections, to create a region. Regions nest up to four levels; deleting a container block deletes the regions inside it.
Each region has a name, colour, and policy. The colour is a visual zone on the map; the policy decides claim behaviour.
The four claim policies
| Policy | When a visitor clicks an empty pixel | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| Inherit | Follow the world default | Most regions |
| Open | Place the block immediately | Public squares and showcase areas |
| Request | Submit an application for review | Areas with a thematic bar |
| Reserved | Not claimable | Own buildings and planned expansion |
Claim quotas
Open worlds apply a quota to new accounts: 3 pixels by default, plus 1 for each active day, capped at 10. After 7 consecutive days while holding 10 pixels, the account is upgraded to trusted resident and the cap rises to 50. Quotas are calculated per world.
World owners can also set a per-user claim limit and a minimum point balance. When a quota is exhausted, applications are rejected with an explicit reason.
Applications and review
Submit
The visitor selects an empty coordinate and may attach a build plan of up to 80 characters.
Wait for review
The application enters the region owner’s inbox, ordered by pending status first and then newest.
Decision
Approval places the block; rejection requires a reason, and the applicant may apply for another position.
Automatic expiry
Applications older than 7 days are flagged; after 14 days they expire and the coordinate is released.
