Contribution reputation
Reputation is a global account of the attention and content you have contributed. It is never spent.
Sources and values
| Source | Reputation | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Valid view of a work | +1 | One per visitor per work |
| Work unlocked | +2 | One per valid unlock |
| View milestone | +5 / +20 / +50 | One-off at 10 / 100 / 1000 cumulative valid views |
Reputation values are set by the platform and cannot be changed by world owners. A single global scale is what makes the ranking meaningful.
Ranking
The ranking sorts total reputation in descending order, with ties sharing a position. Accounts at zero are not ranked. The assets page shows the current total, position, and the gap to the next place.
How it differs from points
- Points are per world and spendable; reputation is global and never spent
- Point prices are set by world owners; reputation values are set by the platform
- Points can be burned; reputation only increases
- Reputation cannot be transferred or exchanged and does not affect unlock prices
Keeping the two separate means a price increase cannot dilute recognition, and recognition cannot be used as a discount.
